MAIN QUEST
Become a Game Developer

ORIGIN STORY

I'm a computer science student at the University of Central Florida (Aug 2024 – Mar 2028) who loves building things that people can play with. I've interned twice on the S3 Surge team at Amazon, built a cafe sim in JavaFX as both frontend developer and artist, and just shipped a webcam-controlled game at a hackathon.

I like working where code and art meet, and I'm looking for a career in the gaming industry.

QUEST LOG

QUEST COMPLETED 02

Return Software Development Engineer Intern

Amazon • S3 Surge May – Aug 2026

Arlington, VA

  • Returned to the S3 Surge team after a successful Summer 2025 internship.
  • Integrated a new dashboard into an existing internal Surge service, viewable by all AWS internal customers, built with the AWS Cloudscape UI framework and data pulled through custom resources with SQL queries.
  • Used Redshift, DynamoDB, Cloud Development Kit, Cloud Logs, and Lambda in the backend for data retrieval.
  • Moved data from zonal DynamoDB tables into a central Redshift data lake for global queries.

TEAM PROJECT

Beary Cozy Cafe Simulator

Frontend Developer & Artist • Feb – Mar 2026

A cozy cafe management game where animal customers order drinks and you build each one by clicking the right ingredients before their patience runs out. Built in JavaFX with a team of 5 women across computer science, computer engineering, and art.

  • The loop: customers show their order in a thought bubble, you click ingredients to build the drink and serve it, and a heart or broken heart shows how you did.
  • Customers and drinks: four drinks and three customer types, including angry customers who lose patience twice as fast and extra-sugar customers who want spoons of sugar added. A color-changing patience bar counts down every second.
  • Inventory: ingredients run out and have to be restocked through a refill menu with a progress bar, so you're always juggling speed against supplies.
  • My part: programmed the frontend in JavaFX and drew roughly 10 of the game's art assets, then demoed the game to 25 members at a Women in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science general body meeting.
